LifecycleSeven stages, one evidence chain

How OnTargetCompliance
works.

The OnTargetCompliance lifecycle takes an AI system from first registration to final regulator submission through seven structured stages — each producing signed, verifiable evidence that forms an unbroken chain of compliance.

Stage 01Model Registration Node (A)

Intake

Register the AI system and establish the compliance baseline.

Every AI system entering the compliance lifecycle begins with Intake. The system is registered in the FrontierAI Registry — its identity, architecture, intended use, deployment scope, and risk tier are documented and signed. The Intake stage establishes the compliance obligation map: which frameworks apply, which articles are triggered, and which nodes must be executed.

Activities in this stage
01Model card completion and structured documentation
02Risk tier classification (EU AI Act Annex III assessment)
03Compliance obligation mapping across all applicable frameworks
04System ID assignment and registry entry creation
05Deployment scope and intended use verification
Framework obligations satisfied

Evidence chain

One unbroken chain from intake to submission

Every stage produces signed evidence that references the prior stage. The result is a tamper-evident chain any regulator, auditor, or enterprise customer can independently verify.
